After many appointments of dental work, I am happy to announce that I feel 100% better about exposing my new smile! It feels so good not to be thinking of that empty space when I smile now. Some people have asked me why at my age I would invest so much in my teeth. My answer to them is, “Why Not?” I plan to live and smile for several more years!” Along with my positive answer I also gave a great big smile!
Here’s my dental journey of having dental implants and other procedures performed to achieve a healthier mouth.
I was first sent to Dr. Steely by an endodontist for an evaluation on the pain and a bad taste coming from my lower right side. It seemed to be a mystery to my primary dentist and two endodontists.
I went to my appointment to see Dr. Steely and was very impressed by the welcome from the ladies at the front desk. Then another smiling lady came to get me to meet Dr. Steely. Dr. Steely and his assistant, Krista, listened very intently to my symptoms. Dr. Steely took a good look around in my mouth, did some tapping and was mystified also. Although, I could sense he was very concerned and was determined to get to the cause of the pain and bad taste. After 3 visits and trying different methods of treatment, the area continued to be painful and expel the bad taste. Finally, we agreed to have the tooth removed and prepare the area for an implant. When I returned for my next visit, I was elated to announce the pain and bad taste is gone!
Since I had full confidence in Dr. Steely and Krista, I wanted Dr. Steely to do an extensive evaluation on my teeth. For 47 years I have been missing teeth on my upper right side. I am a person who smiles a lot, and I was always aware of that empty space when I would smile. I knew out of all the other evaluations I have ever had to replace those missing teeth that Dr. Steely was the one I would trust and have faith in restoring a beautiful smile for me.
On my next appointment, my husband and I met with Dr. Steely to go over the procedure of restoring my mouth in order to have a better quality of life. We were so impressed with the way Dr. Steely explained everything and answered our questions, that it was a given; I wanted to get this project started!
Dr. Steely has been a Godsend. Before my mother passed away almost four years ago, she told me she had some money for my seven siblings and myself. We were to divide it evenly between us. At that point, I already knew that I wanted to spend my share on a new tooth to fix my smile. Mom was quite happy to hear what I planned to do with her money. Since my mother knew I wanted a new tooth, I’m sure she guided me to the perfect dentist to give me my new tooth. I
am so grateful to Dr. Steely, Krista, Adele, Kenta, and Michelle for taking good care of me while I endured whatever I needed to in order to get back my beautiful smile.
I also want to mention how much I love seeing the large photographs on the walls in the office of the various Mission trips and Mission work that Dr. Steely participates in. I appreciate his heart for serving others and I am so grateful for everything he has done for me.
